THE EXCITING
OPPORTUNITY
We opened
the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal Hotel & Spa MGallery in May
2023 and have reset the clock within this historic building, bringing it back
to life. Our Heartists® aspire to create memorable, heartfelt moments for
all life enjoyers to experience unique stories from the past but also to
immerse themselves into our hospitality, creating their own astonishing tales
of MGallery magical moments. We boast 179 stunning bedrooms set in a
remarkable and inspiring landmark of the city. Time is of essence and at the
heart of The Municipal’s story. The iconic clock tower and bells giving
the tempo to a timeless melody. Various restaurants, bars and a
state-of-the-art spa sanctuary experience, will offer everyone the place to
have the time of their lives, pause the clock and embark upon their own magical
journey with MGallery.

A DAY IN THE
LIFE OF THE MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What you'll
be doing...
When you
enter our hotel you will be “wowed” and we aspire for our guests to be bowled
over too in their initial connection with our building and our
Heartists®. Our Heartists are our team, the heart of the hotel, who
strive to make meaning in every moment from check in to departure. We
have passion for interacting with people upon check in and beyond, learning
what makes them tick and providing surprise and delight Municipal memorable
moments.
WHAT WE NEED
FROM YOU
We hire
mostly on personality & potential but here are a few of our requirements...
·
A positive
can-do attitude and the passion to stand out and be proud of our hotel and
MGallery brand.
·
The skill to
liaise with our guests, providing care, warmth and efficiency in your provision
of service. Ensuring that Maintenance
issues are reviewed and resolved at the earliest opportunity.
·
Excellent attention
to detail and flexibility. To work
positively and collaboratively with all departments and our Heartists® keeping
the guest experience as our central focus.
·
A passion
for providing excellence in service and excelling as a team.
·
To assist
with fire walks and preventative maintenance solutions.
·
To be
flexible to shift and rota requirements (7.00am-3.30pm or 9.30am – 6pm) 5 days
over 7 (Sunday working is required).
·
To have at
least 2 years’ experience in Hotel Maintenance within a 4* or 5* hotel.
Other duties
include;
·
Provide a professional robust maintenance and repair service at a 5* hotel
level.
·
Have excellent skills and knowledge of electrical, mechanical,
carpentry, painting, and construction trades to undertake maintenance, repair
and installation work.
·
To maintain a high-quality safe environment for both guests & staff,
contractors and visitors.
·
Assist with other hotel staff and contractors to ensure compliance with
safety standards and procedures.
·
To assist, plan and organise operational maintenance for the hotel under
guidance.
·
Provide maintenance assistance across the hotel as required for business
operation and as per requests from Senior Management.
·
Taking
responsibility for the hotel, guests, Heartists, Health and Safety, Fire
Procedures and security.
·
To assist
with an in-depth preventative maintenance program. To review and perform statutory
compliance tests and reporting.
Competencies, knowledge and skills required;
·
Excellent maintenance / trade
skills.
·
Excellent communication
skills both written & verbal.
·
Attention to detail and
safety precautions / requirements.
·
The ability to work
independently, yet as part of the wider team.
·
Pool plant knowledge or
qualifications are highly desirable.
