Are you hands-on, safety-focused, and passionate about doing a great job?We’re looking for a Recycling Operative to support the day-to-day running of our waste management services at our site in Long Sutton. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping site operations safe, compliant and efficient — and you’ll be the friendly face of the service for our customer. ?? What You’ll Be Doing In this varied, active role, you’ll be responsible for: Managing daily waste and recycling tasks across site Carrying out pre-use inspections on machinery Returning and sorting waste/recycling containers, including using a baler Keeping the waste compound clean, safe, and well organised Maintaining excellent communication with site teams, managers, and supervisors Monitoring waste levels and booking container exchanges when needed Ensuring waste streams are stored and segregated safely and correctly Reporting any near misses, incidents, or concerns Suggesting improvements and helping drive innovation on site You’ll be a key part of building and maintaining a positive working relationship with the customer — teamwork, communication, and professionalism are essential. ?? What We’re Looking For Essential: Good communication skills Strong awareness of health, safety & environmental standards Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office) Desirable: FLT licence (RTITB) Hazardous waste knowledge Experience in waste operations IOSH qualification If you’re motivated, reliable, and eager to learn, we can train you in everything you need to thrive. Hours of Work Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm with a 30 minute break
