Availability window details show the days and times the candidate is expected to be available. Example: Sun 09:00:00 to 18:00:00; Wed 14:00:00 to 22:00:00; Thu 13:00:00 to 22:00:00; Fri 07:00:00 to 22:00:00; Sat 07:00:00 to 22:00:00.
Our shift pay starts from £14.76 per hour and increases to £15.97 in stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
New colleagues joining us are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; there are also opportunities to work fewer hours (minimum 12) if preferred.
The availability window describes the periods during the week when we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks' notice of shifts. We are flexible with times where possible to accommodate close matches to advertised availability.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy, fuss-free shopping experience for customers
* Supporting colleagues to deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks
* Opening and closing the store, and completing duty cover, ensuring decisions support safety for everyone
* Being the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries
* Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well-presented
* Supporting managers to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events
* Contributing to a great team atmosphere that is inclusive
* Providing great customer service by listening to customers and putting them first
* Keeping the team informed on communications, changes, or updates
* Staying knowledgeable about store performance and looking for ways to improve and simplify operations
* Coordinating store improvements and removing obstacles to great service
* Following health and safety routines and ensuring colleagues do the same
* Recognising and celebrating colleagues providing great service
You must be 18 or over to apply for this role.
