The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, extracting, transforming, analyzing and reporting high-quality data to derive insights into Surgery’s product and manufacturing sites’ performance. The Data Analyst will develop and deliver presentations with the intended audience of supporting Surgery and Client Interventional Segment key senior leadership and Client Executive Leadership.
Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at Davol, Inc., you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making across various departments. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within our medical device manufacturing and distribution processes.
Job Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources, including internal databases, external market research, and operational systems.
* Perform in-depth statistical analysis, data modeling, and data mining to uncover key business drivers and identify areas for optimization.
* Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
* Identify data quality issues and work to implement solutions to ensure data integrity and reliability.
* Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures.
* Support the evaluation of new technologies and methodologies for data analysis and reporting.
* Provide training and support to colleagues on data analysis tools and best practices.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
* 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
* Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
* Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
* Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data modeling principles.
* Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry is a plus.
