Prospect Development Officer.
Salary: c£29,400 (depending on experience) plus Inner London Allowance of £3,333. (Remote working will not include the Inner London allowance).
Location: London/Remote.
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week.

A bit about the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Fundraising team at Action for Children as a Prospect Development Officer on a Permanent Contract.
You will have responsibility for undertaking high quality sourcing and researching potential new donors, looking for key areas of growth and opportunities to maximise supporter lifetime value to Action for Children. You will also work with fundraisers to regularly review their portfolio of donors and ensure that all opportunities are tracked on the Raisers Edge database.
How you'll help to create brighter futures by
* Producing high quality written summaries of research supporting the Prospect Development Manager to inform internal teams.
* Producing top line and in-depth biographical and professional research on individuals, trusts and foundations for high value fundraising.
* Producing biographies of event attendees and prospecting to allocate guests to fundraisers after events.
* Undertaking strategic network-mapping, in line with Fundraising team's activity plans.
* Effective use of a prospect management system on Raiser's Edge to track and manage the movement of Philanthropy and Corporate prospects.
* Contributing to preparation and follow up of prospect portfolio reviews.
* Supporting the Prospect Development Manager to conduct due diligence research on prospective supporters.
* Act as data champion for fundraising teams.
Let's talk about you
* Research experience or experience of prospect research preferable.
* Experience of following established processes and templates to ensure research information is consistent.
* Ability to use databases and to source and interpret large volumes of data.
* An understanding of wider economic trends and a curiosity of the fundraising landscape.
* Flexible approach to work, applying initiative, creatively, lateral thinking whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy.
* An understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR for handling personal data.
* Excellent standard of written communication and to produce accurate and concise briefings for colleagues.
