STS Aviation Services is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for B2 Mechanics to join our growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at our Manchester Hangar and contribute to the next chapter of our journey as the leading UK MRO provider.
Position Summary
As a B2 Mechanic, you will perform maintenance, modifications, and aircraft preparation to the highest standards. Working closely with Certifying Engineers and Check Managers, you will help ensure customer aircraft are maintained safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved data and company procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Maintenance and aircraft preparation of customer aircraft to the highest standard
* Undertake routine maintenance checks and modifications as directed by zonal supervision
* Work with Check Manager and B1 or B2 Certifying Engineers to identify impending problems and generate solutions
* Provide updates to B1 or B2 Certifying Engineers on any issues impacting their work plan
* Report any unsafe situations to Supervisor and through the internal reporting system (Centrik)
* Carry out maintenance in accordance with approved Maintenance Data
* Ensure technical integrity of all work carried out under your control
* Engage with the Mechanics Passport Scheme for career development
* Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment
* Adhere to company Health and Safety policies at all times
* Maintain expected standards of time keeping, discipline, and productivity
* Demonstrate a flexible working attitude in a fast-changing environment
Skills and Abilities
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic
* Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in aviation engineering or similar mechanical engineering field
* Part 66 A Licence preferred but not essential (training and development provided for those seeking career growth)
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Knowledge of MS Office applications
