Assistant Stations Manager – Ffestiniog Pumped Hydro Power Station

As the Assistant Station Manager with a key focus on our Ffestiniog Pumped Hydro Power Station, you'll drive operational excellence and innovation in renewable energy generation.
What You Will Do
* Provide visible leadership at the Ffestiniog Pumped Hydro generation asset
* Manage daily operations and engage with stakeholders to deliver business plan objectives
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical requirements, and quality systems
* Drive station performance in reliability, financial control, and commercial delivery
* Coordinate activities on site and provide services to the System Operator
* Develop and implement business objectives and KPIs aligned with First Hydro targets
* Manage and improve Health & Safety culture and performance on site
What You Will Bring To The Role
* An experienced professional with a degree in engineering or equivalent
* A skilled leader with a track record in power plant operations and maintenance
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Knowledge of Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation
* Effective communicator with the ability to adapt to various stakeholders, from staff to senior management
* Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
* Adaptable team player able to learn and handle complex situations
* Chartered membership of an engineering institution and formal management qualifications preferred
