What are we looking for?
Otis is currently recruiting for a Category Buyer to join our highly successful purchasing team. The position will be a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work from our Leicester Grove Park office, with travel to our approved Sub-contractors offices located throughout the UK and also home working.
The successful Senior Buyer will be responsible for;
1. Conducting sub-contract negotiations and awarding project works.
2. Sourcing new sub-contractors to support the Otis business in all areas: New Equipment, Modernisation and Repairs.
3. Manage the whole tender process in compliance with company policies and conduct project tendering for our sub-contract category which includes installation labour, and elevator / escalator associated site services activity.
4. Negotiate strategic sub-contractor supply framework agreements and manage a number of key sub-contractor supply relationships continually looking to save costs, add value and streamline processes. Contribute to the Company’s Annual Cost Saving Plan.
5. Conduct supply chain quality audits on our key sub-contractors, continually looking to make improvements.
To be considered for our Senior Buyer position, you must be able to demonstrate that you have:

8. Confidence in meeting challenging performance targets
9. A collaborative and supportive approach to the supply chain team to deliver individual commitments and results.
10. Ability to work in an adaptable manner which ensures Supply Chain Management team success.
