An Outstanding secondary school in Peterborough is seeking a passionate and versatile Religious Studies Teacher to join their dedicated team. This full-time, long-term role is to start ASAP, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in a highly supportive and successful school community.
Responsibilities:
1. Teach Religious Studies across KS3, GCSE, and A Level
2. Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that promote critical thinking and cultural awareness
3. Teach PSHCE as part of a broad and balanced curriculum
4. Plan, prepare and assess student work to a high standard
5. Contribute to the school’s wider personal development programme
6. Participate in department meetings, CPD and whole-school initiatives
Requirements:
7. QTS is desirable but not essential for the right candidate with strong subject knowledge and teaching experience
8. Proven experience teaching RS across KS3–KS5 (including exam groups)
9. Ability to deliver PSHCE confidently and appropriately
10. Strong classroom management and organisational skills
11. A commitment to inclusive education and the values of the school
