Overview

5128 - Lecturer in History (fixed term) at the University of Greenwich. The School of Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Arts and Social Sciences, is based at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich and operates with a strong interdisciplinary ethos. The successful candidate will have expertise in global history and/or the history of the Ottoman empire and modern Middle East. They will join the History programme team and will be responsible for leading and teaching modules during a colleague’s absence in session 2025-26, and will contribute to other teaching as appropriate, as well as to the wider work of the school. We seek a proactive, enthusiastic individual committed to excellence in teaching, research and student support, with excellent communication skills and experience delivering high-quality teaching.
