The purpose of the Technical Business Support Consultant role is to support and maintain our internal and client-facing booking systems across multiple countries and currencies. The implementation and support of client-facing technical products drives the digitalisation strategy of the company by increasing adoption of new digital products. The tasks and responsibilities are wide and varied with different degrees of complexity, making this role a valuable opportunity for personal development. It provides an in-depth understanding of business operations and full-cycle work, ensuring the accurate flow of transactional data from reservation platforms to financial and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
* System administration for online customer booking systems:
o Atriis, Cytric, and Concur self-booking
o External and internal customer support for these systems
o Onboarding new external customers onto Clyde technology systems
o Supporting Clyde Travels own proprietary Consort system
* GDS Management and workflows:
o Working with online automation systems such as Compleat or IQCX
o Documenting processes and creating workflow consistency
o Setting up new internal users across all Clyde agent booking systems
o Supporting NDC workflows and queries
o Supporting internal customers with GDS product or workflow queries
o Rolling out new product enhancements
* Travel technology product management:
o Reviewing and implementing new technical solutions
o Evolving Clyde’s proprietary booking platform
o Identifying opportunities to improve current processes
o Collaborating across departments to enhance efficiency
* Secondary responsibilities:
o Ensuring transactions flow into invoicing systems accurately and timely
o Diagnosing and troubleshooting booking platform issues
o Reacting to system errors and reporting
o Recommending process improvements
o Managing supplier disruptions or notifications
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in technical support or corporate reservations
* Knowledge of GDS and OBTs is highly desirable
* Higher education or equivalent qualifications
* Experience with BSP/ARC beneficial
* Experience implementing online booking technology
* Experience supporting travel technology products
* Experience in Marine or Energy travel industry preferred
