Teaching Fellow, Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at the University of Southampton is seeking to appoint a clinical academic with expertise in Low Intensity CBT for mild to moderate Depression and Anxiety Disorders. The selected candidate will join our programme team for the PG Certificate in Low Intensity CBT with NHS IAPT PWP status.
You will be a Qualified PWP with at least two years of post‑qualification experience delivering Low Intensity CBT to people with anxiety and depression, and a working knowledge of NHS IAPT services.
As part of our respected LICBT team, you will be responsible for teaching on the PG Certificate, liaising with NHS and university stakeholders, observing and assessing students, and ensuring they become competent and confident to deliver LICBT within high‑pressure NHS IAPT services.
Applicants should have a proven track record in teaching and supervision. Experience in organisational aspects of NHS service provision is advantageous. Those with an interest in developing their own research programme are particularly welcomed, with support from colleagues in our CBT programmes, Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and the wider Department. The part‑time (0.4 FTE) post is available from December 2025 at Level 4.
