At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.
You’ll join a supportive community adult social care team covering Bath and working with adults with a range of needs to promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes. The team values collaborative, strengths‑based practice and reflective working, with regular supervision and peer support. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues in an environment that encourages learning, professional development and high‑quality, person‑centred practice.
As a Social Worker within Adult Social Care, you will play a key role in supporting adults to live as independently as possible, promoting wellbeing, safety and positive outcomes through strengths-based practice.
This opportunity is suitable for both newly qualified Social Workers completing their ASYE and experienced Social Workers. The role will be shaped according to your level of experience:
Across both levels, you will work within a strong legislative framework, supporting individuals, families and carers through assessment, planning and review, while contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
We’re looking for a motivated, thoughtful and compassionate Social Worker who is committed to supporting adults to live independently and achieve positive outcomes.
This role is suitable for both newly qualified Social Workers (ASYE) and those with post‑qualifying experience, and we will support you according to your level of experience.
This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to grow your career in a supportive, innovative environment where your voice matters. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration, professional development, and making a lasting impact.
