GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven Transport Shift Manager to join us on at our B&Q site in Swindon. In this role you wont just manage a team youll lead leaders. You will be responsible for overseeing a shift of team leaders, clerks, and drivers ensuring high performance, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a full time, permanent position, where youll be working Monday Friday, on a 14:00 22:00 shift pattern.
Pay, Benefits And More
Youll be paid a salary of up to £35,000.00. Youll also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What Youll Do On a Typical Day
* Youll ensure the efficient running of the operation and drive operational performance through development of site systems and operational processes
* Youll identify and resolve operational issues and where appropriate escalate to the Assistant Transport Manager, ensuring that the transport department always remains legally compliant
* Youll analyse reports against KPIs and take actions to improve results
* Youll lead the transport team through the continued growth of the operation and introduce change positively

* Proven experience in a fast-paced transport environment, with a strong track record ofmanaging managers or team leaders
* Demonstratedleadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
* Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* A hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
