Teaching Personnel’s Sheffield branch is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a couple of welcoming partner secondary schools in Worksop. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. This position is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, or experienced school staff who want flexible, rewarding work in education.
The Role of a Cover Supervisor:
Supervise whole classes during teacher absence across Key Stages 3 & 4
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials as a Cover Supervisor
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task
Create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
Provide basic support and report back to permanent staff
What We’re Looking For in a Cover Supervisor:
Experience working with young people in any setting
Confidence leading groups and managing behaviour
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive, adaptable approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
