The Role
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trade Settlements Analyst to join a specialist Asset Management firm, investing for institutional clients globally.
The Trade Settlements Analyst (Fixed Income) covers all operational aspects of Trade Matching and Settlements including pre-matching and trade settlements across Global Markets. The role is a fully integrated part of the Investment Operations Group supporting our Long Only and Hedge Fund products.
This Trade Settlements Analyst (Fixed Income) will develop close working relationships internally with Portfolio Managers and externally with executing brokers, diverse Custodians and Prime Brokers.
Responsible for matching and settlement of trades with external counterparties across all Asset types but particularly Fixed Income Products, assisting with management of failed trades including liaising with custodians/prime brokers/brokers and raising of manual instructions for non STP transactions.
The Trade Settlements Analyst (Fixed Income) will maintain Omgeo Alert and SS&C databases in respect of standard settlement instructions.
The Trade Settlements Analyst (Fixed Income) will ensure that the instructions given by Portfolio Managers are accurately modelled into live orders, translating Portfolio Manager instructions in to live orders (order modelling) and placing such trades on the Traders’ blotter. Ensuring that orders undergo pre-trade integrity checks and that trade orders are accurately reflected in the trade order management system.
The Candidate
3 years + previous experience of Trade Settlements and Trade Lifecycle of Fixed Income products including Bonds, Repo’s, Interest Rate Swaps & Credit Default Swaps.
Operational understanding of Global Equities and Derivatives.
Experience in a similar or comparable role within Operations or Investment Support.
Open to working a late shift working pattern (US hours)
A working knowledge of Omgeo CTM or experience of similar trade matching system is essential.
Systems competent / proficient in Excel.
Experience of the Enfusion investment management platform would be an advantage
