GSL Education are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Nottingham. As a KS1 TA, this position offers a valuable opportunity to nurture children’s learning, growth, and self-confidence within a dynamic and supportive classroom setting.
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children in KS1 with their learning, both individually and in small groups.
* Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
* Encouraging positive behaviour, social skills, and independence.
* Supporting pupils with additional needs and adapting activities where necessary.
* Preparing learning materials and maintaining a safe, welcoming classroom environment.
To be successful as a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have experience working with children in KS1 or similar settings.
* Be patient, caring, and adaptable.
* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
* Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
