Location: Buttershaw, Bradford, BD6/ Hybrid Working (two office days a week – Bradford)
Work type: 12-month secondment/fixed term opportunity. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday. We have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Project Manager to join the Customer Field Services (CFS) team here at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. As our Operational Project Manager, you will effectively project manage the delivery of our Service Delivery Wastewater (SDWW) capital programme, including delivery of both proactive and reactive work delivered by the R&M Service Partner in accordance with business needs.
Working closely with key stakeholders and customers to ensure our regulatory targets are achieved, our Operational Project Manager will ensure health and safety standards are at the forefront of each activity, driving towards achieving world class health and safety performance.

As our Operational Project Manager in CFS you will:
* Manage the day-to-day scope and activities of team projects, including the definition of scope, goals, and deliverables to ensure effective management across the piece.
* Ensure project risks are understood, reviewed regularly, and escalated where appropriate.
* Be responsible for the successful operation of the capital triggers process and resolving any issues that may arise in a timely manner.
* Capture and record all relevant information, including activities and outputs, that is required for our Annual Performance Report.
* Attend any audits relating to projects e.g., ad hoc or those required as part of the Annual Performance Reporting process.
* Ensure high standards of governance are maintained with regards to capital schemes in Customer Field Services, including the timely management of Project Approvals and Change Authorisations.
* Drive excellent standards in health, safety, risk management and control of work, always ensuring compliance with our Safety Policy.
* Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, hazards and near misses within the required timescales.
* Maintain the Investment Categories on projects to ensure regulatory expenditure is allocated correctly.
What skills & qualifications you will need as our Operational Project Manager:
* Negotiate and influence at higher, strategic levels, with proven experience in effective decision making, working collaboratively at all levels to focus on achieving collective goals on agreed ways of working.
* Analyse data effectively and use that data to determine the most beneficial course of action to achieve business goals
* Be advanced in using the full Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
* Have a proven track record of interpreting / compiling data, with strong attention to detail, able to plan and prioritise work to deliver results diligently
* Focus on specific activities whilst understanding the wider impact of service delivery to all customers
* Have strong proactive networking skills, having the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders, both internally and externally
* Demonstrate effective communication skills, with an empathetic attitude and experience of providing excellent customer service
* Be enthusiastic, with the ability to demonstrate drive, dedication, and ambition, working on your own in initiative and being able to self-manage
* Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet stringent deadlines, with the ability to multi-task as the role demands
* Show commitment and flexibility, along with the ability to cope under pressure, calmly and rationally
* Be a team player – someone who supports colleagues and works with others to achieve the best outcome and values the input of colleagues
You will also benefit from having:
* Experience of delivering against challenging business targets
* Experience of working in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment
* Experience of work in the wastewater sectors or the broader utilities industry
* Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.
* It would be desirable that you hold a full valid driving licence (with no more than 6 points)
