Earthwatch currently has an exciting opportunity for an Individual Giving Manager to join our Fundraising Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our Individual Giving programme, ensuring sustainable growth in income from individual donors. You will focus on identifying opportunities to engage supporters, implementing activities to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, and increasing financial contributions from both new and existing supporters. You will also work closely with colleagues across Income Generation, Communications, Programmes, and senior leadership to maximise donor opportunities and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Strategy & Income Growth:
o Develop and implement a multi-year individual giving strategy, including regular giving, one-off donations, and legacy giving.
o Set and monitor income and engagement targets, using data insights to refine approaches.
2. Campaigns & Appeals:
o Project manage multiple appeals across digital, print, and telephone, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and meet targets.
o Manage relationships with external fundraising agencies.
o Collaborate with the communications team to align campaigns with brand guidelines.
o Follow best practice standards as set out by relevant fundraising bodies.
3. Donor Engagement & Stewardship:
o Deliver high-quality donor communications, including impact reports and tailored updates.
o Support donor journeys to build loyalty and increase lifetime value.
o Attend events to engage with donors.
4. Data Management & Reporting:
o Ensure all materials comply with data protection and gift aid legislation.
o Use the database to track engagement and manage contact strategies.
o Produce reports on giving trends, campaign performance, and donor behaviour.
5. Collaboration & Support:
o Work with colleagues across teams to maximise donor opportunities.
o Act as an ambassador for Earthwatch Europe’s mission and values.
o Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.
o Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and experience required include proven success in individual giving, supporter journey development, budget management, and understanding of UK fundraising regulations. Skills include excellent communication, data management, relationship-building, and project management. Personal characteristics include passion for environmental issues, organization, motivation, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. Desirable experience includes legacy and major donor fundraising, especially within environmental organizations.
