Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and highly organised Team Co-ordinator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic construction practices, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a hands-on approach to coordinating site operations. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day team activities, ensuring high standards of work, and driving projects forward efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and manage on-site teams, providing clear direction and support.
* Oversee the quality and progress of construction activities, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
* Carry out inspections and sign off completed work.
* Collaborate with team members and management to maintain smooth site operations.
* Monitor progress, identify issues early, and take proactive steps to resolve them.
* Ensure site teams adhere to health and safety protocols and company standards.
* Maintain accurate records using basic Word and Excel templates.
* Report on progress and escalate concerns as needed.
Requirements:
* Basic building skills and a solid understanding of construction processes.
* Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
* Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel at a basic level.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
* Understanding of construction project timelines and deliverables.
* Full driving licence
Desirable:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Basic qualifications in construction or site management (preferred but not essential).
* Contacts within the building and heating trade to ensure quick availability to teams of men
* Working withing the ECO sector of government grants for insulation and heating
