Project Planner – Defence Infrastructure & Facilities

Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE

A leading organisation in the Defence infrastructure sector is seeking a skilled Project Planner to support the delivery of high-profile facilities and infrastructure programmes across the South West. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and experienced team working on critical Defence estate developments.
As Project Planner, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules to ensure the successful and timely delivery of complex infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across all phases of delivery
* Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
* Coordinate planning activities with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders
* Provide regular reporting on schedule performance, critical paths, and milestones
* Ensure all planning and reporting aligns with MOD and project governance standards
Requirements:
* Strong experience in project planning within Defence, construction, or similarly complex infrastructure environments
* Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
* Excellent understanding of project lifecycle, scheduling techniques, and earned value management
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Active Security Clearance (SC) – essential
* Relevant qualifications in project controls, engineering, or planning (e.g. APM, PMI, or equivalent)
