ROLE: PMO Lead - Project Management Officer - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract
SALARY: £37,500 - £45,000 per annum, plus benefits
BASE: Hybrid role - Remote/Alfreton c2-3 Office days per week

Position Overview
We are recruiting a PMO Lead reporting to the Head of Projects and Change, responsible for managing day-to-day activities for key projects, supporting project coordination, management, and execution within the business change portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Business Change Department to deliver projects on time and within budget.
2. Monitor project progress, milestones, and KPIs.
3. Develop and implement project management tools, processes, and templates.
4. Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
5. Prepare project documentation including business cases, charters, and status reports.
6. Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
7. Provide regular status updates and highlight concerns or delays.
8. Ensure adherence to company standards, methodologies, and best practices.
9. Facilitate communication among project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
10. Assist in data collection and analysis for performance reviews and evaluations.
11. Organize and store project documentation properly.
12. Support process improvements within the Business Change function.
13. Assist in selecting and implementing a new Enterprise Project Management tool.
14. Support resource flexibility within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Previous experience in a project management or PMO role.
2. Project Management certification (e.g., P30, PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
3. Experience in business change or transformation projects.
4. Knowledge of financial tracking and budgeting.
5. Familiarity with resource management and capacity planning tools.
6. Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid.
7. Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
9. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
10. Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach.
11. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
