We're Hiring: Rental Service Manager – South West Depot
Location: South West | Hours: Full-Time, Permanent | Salary: £65,000
Are you an experienced Service Manager with a strong technical background in generators, plant hire, or heavy equipment? We’re looking for a hands-on leader to drive reliability, uptime, and operational excellence across our generator rental fleet.
What you’ll do:
* Lead a team of Service Controllers, Engineers, and Technicians to deliver top-notch service.
* Own and optimise preventative maintenance programmes and emergency breakdown response.
* Ensure fleet reliability, safety, compliance, and availability across all depots.
* Drive continuous improvement, service KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
* Act as the go-to escalation point for high-impact service incidents.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a Service Manager or senior service leadership role.
* Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators and electrical systems.
* Skilled in managing maintenance programmes and 24/7 breakdown response.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Calm under pressure, highly organised, and solutions-focused.
