Location: Wakefield (Hybrid Working - typically 2 days in the office, 3 remote)

The Opportunity
CRA Consulting is working with a highly respected national law firm to appoint an Operations Manager to lead their Serious Injury division. This is a unique chance to step into a pivotal leadership role, shaping the performance, growth, and culture of a busy department handling high-value, multi-track serious injury and personal injury claims. This role will suit a proven people leader who thrives in complex PI environments and is motivated by delivering results through people, process excellence, and first-class client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of serious injury professionals via team leaders, ensuring performance, capability, and engagement.
* Oversee operational delivery of complex, high-value multi-track injury work, maintaining quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Drive performance against operational, customer, and financial KPIs - ensuring consistency across a large-scale PI team.
* Embed new working practices, systems, and behaviours to enhance case progression and improve client service.
* Proactively identify risks, capacity issues, or performance shortfalls, implementing effective solutions quickly.
* Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure growth, continuous improvement, and staff engagement remain central to departmental success.
About You
We're looking for someone who can bring:
* Proven operational leadership within large personal injury/serious injury or multi-track PI teams.
* A strong people-first approach with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable.
* Strategic vision combined with hands-on execution - balancing detail and the bigger picture.
* Credibility to influence at senior level, with a commercial mindset and operational resilience.
* Excellent organisational skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
