Your new role
As a Medical Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting a busy clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Handling telephone queries and managing iing/outgoing correspondence using internal systems.
2. Typing and formatting clinical letters and reports via Epass and MedSpeech.
3. Managing patient referrals, waiting lists, and appointment scheduling through Epass Workqueues.
4. Maintaining accurate caseload records and providing regular statistical reports to the Admin Team Lead.
5. Coordinating interpreter bookings, patient transport, and room/clinic scheduling.
6. Supporting medical records management, including archiving, note retrieval, and data cleansing.
7. Providing reception cover in outpatient settings and administrative support to ward-based teams.
8. Assisting with the processing and verification of statutory forms and documentation.
9. Attending and minuting meetings, including Consultant and ECP meetings.
10. Offering cross-cover for colleagues during periods of leave or absence.
This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
