The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all food production adheres to safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. You will lead the night-shift QA teams, including QA Team Leaders & Technologists, with a focus on compliance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Leading and developing your team of QA Team Leaders & Technologists, working to ensure all food is produced to the agreed standards and specifications.
* Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are always adhered to, and that all colleagues are aware of their responsibilities.
* Maintaining a robust system for documentation, from incoming materials through to finished product.
* Investigating incidents and non-conformance and putting corrective actions in place.
Qualifications
* Being a key contact for customer and BRC audits.
* This role is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional with strong leadership skills and a background in food production quality assurance. Prior experience of leading a technical/quality team in a manufacturing environment.
* Ideally educated to HND or Degree level in Food Science or similar, although this is not essential.
* Advanced Food Safety and Intermediate HACCP qualifications.
* Proactive and highly organised, able to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
