Overview
The Clinical Services Division Directorate at St Bartholomew's Hospital is looking to recruit a talented Technologist/Radiographer to join the leadership team Operational Lead Technologist for Nuclear Medicine and PET CT at St Bartholomew's Hospital. We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader. This position will be based at St Bartholomew's Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London - St. Paul’s with cross-site working. The post holder will be credible and a visible role model and will be responsible for the safe and effective management of the day-to-day provision and operational coordination of Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT services. They will provide high profile Clinical Specialist support to all Nuclear Medicine imaging, technologist staff and to the department. They will contribute to improving patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards, through effective communication with patients, staff and stakeholders. As a member of the Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT Management Team the post holder will contribute to the strategic direction of the Department, ensuring an effective and responsive Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT service. Responsibilities
* Safe and effective management of the day-to-day provision and operational coordination of Nuclear Medicine services, including PET-CT, and governance compliance.
* Proactively work with the team to ensure safe and effective implementation of service developments relevant to the team.
* Provide high-profile Clinical Specialist support to all Nuclear Medicine imaging, technologist staff and to the department.
* Liaise with departmental site lead technologists regarding staffing levels and other resource issues; manage all technologist staff and site leads.
* Collaborate with site lead technologists and senior management to develop the service in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives, consulting key stakeholders and reinforcing organisational expectations through collaborative and dynamic management.

Qualifications and Experience
Experience (Essential):
* Extensive experience in Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT and cardiac imaging.
* Experience and in-depth knowledge in Nuclear Medicine governance compliance and risk management in all areas of practice.
* Experience in supervising and managing staff and undertaking appraisals with Nuclear Medicine staff.
Skills (Essential):
* Ability to lead and motivate teams.
Knowledge (Essential):
* Working knowledge of responsibilities relating to ionising radiation regulations.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications (Essential):
* DCR, BSc Diagnostic Imaging, Post-graduate in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.
* HPC State Registration (Registration as RCT).
Desirable:
* Post-registration qualification (Professional or managerial) at MSc/PGDip level, or equivalent.
Other (Essential):
* Evidence of leadership experience.
