About the role:
Rail Gourmet is proud to be part of SSP – The Food Travel Experts. Our clients include some of the top train operating companies and lounge service providers across the UK, and mainland Europe, and we support them through a precise mix of services such as catering, new product development, procurement, logistics and IT systems.
Starting with insight and research, we design, develop and source bespoke service concepts, products, services and systems for travel-related customer hospitality.
We are looking for a part time Finance Reporting & Data Analyst working 3 days per week (to include Tuesdays and Thursdays) to support the wider finance and operations team for a 9-month period due to an internal secondment.
You will need to be confident using Excel and running reports, navigate reporting cubes, business intelligence reporting (Delta) and the ability to interrogate and manipulate the data to providing accurate and clear reporting on sales, project reports, month end, P&L and various client reports.
What you’ll be doing:
* Compiling standard reports and queries, completing checks and collating data and resolving queries for the wider team and various stakeholders or clients.
* Producing weekly and monthly reports used by the business.
* Provide accurate reports to the appropriate person in a timely manner to facilitate business decisions.
* Approve and review PO’s raised and assist with the raising of PO’s at period end.
* Support business with IT queries by liaising with correct teams to rectify issues.
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Extensive knowledge and experience in MS Excel.
* Experience of SAP and BI reporting systems.
* Experience in previous role of producing financial reports.
* Attention to detail.
* Tenacious, hardworking, capable.
* Plans and carries out activities in an orderly and structured way.
* Prioritises tasks and uses time in the best possible way.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Must be able to work on own initiative and have the skills required for dealing with different levels of management and employees.
* Team worker – actively helps and supports others to achieve team and business goals.
