You’ll be joining a business that is scaling up, investing heavily in new technology, and looking for a hands‑on leader who can take ownership of day‑to‑day performance while also supporting new approaches to sustainable food production.
The Opportunity
* Lead a small, close‑knit on‑site team
* Take full responsibility for planning, scheduling, quality, production, and labour management
* Oversee plant health, hygiene standards, and consistent product quality in a controlled environment
* Support new development projects, and technology testing
* Manage site calendars and operational resource planning
* Work closely with technical, maintenance, planning and quality functions
Ideal Background
We are looking for someone who brings a blend of operational expertise and an understanding of working with live plants in a high‑care or controlled environment.
You might come from:
* Fresh produce
* Horticulture
* Agronomy
* Glasshouse operations
* Food manufacturing
* Agriculture
* Engineering‑led production settings
A background spanning Operations + Horticulture or Operations + Engineering would be particularly well‑suited.
Skills & Experience
* Experience leading teams in a production or high‑care environment
* Strong planning and organisational capabilities
* Practical understanding of quality, hygiene, and crop care
* Comfortable managing a small team and scaling processes as the site grows
* Good communication skills and the confidence to represent the site internally and externally
* Someone who takes ownership, enjoys autonomy, and wants the responsibility of running their own site
