Position: HGV Driver & Supervisor Location: Hemel Hempstead Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Bennett & Game are partnering with a long-established, privately owned international courier business who are now seeking a HGV Driver / Supervisor to support and oversee their night operation from their Hemel Hempstead site. This position is fully operational and requires someone who is confident behind the wheel as well as capable in an office environment. The successful candidate will split their time between driving duties and supervising the team to ensure the smooth running of the depot. Position Overview Oversee all night-time transport activities across the depot Ensure the operation runs efficiently and in line with company standards Carry out driving duties as required Maintain full compliance across the fleet and operation Build and manage relationships with subcontractors Support with budgeting and operational planning Undertake people-management duties including recruitment, rota planning and disciplinary processes Requirements Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence - essential Background in courier, parcel or logistics operations - advantageous Supervisory or management experience within a transport environment Comfortable with hands-on duties and supporting across the depot where needed Transport Managers CPC - beneficialRemuneration Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Company pension scheme Night shift pattern: Saturday - Wednesday, approx. 20:00/21:00 start - 04:00/05:00 finish 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) Strong long-term stability and job security Opportunity to acquire CPC and further developmentBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
