Mechanical & Electrical Multiskilled Maintenance Technician Location: Salary: Up to £17.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
Shifts: 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (week days, week nights & weekend days on rotation) Work Lyf Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy heavy-industrial site in Hixon. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in maintaining production machinery who is looking to further develop their skills.
The Role As a Multiskilled Maintenance Operative, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a wide range of plant machinery and site equipment. You will support the Shift Foreman and Engineering Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable site operations.

Electrical and mechanical fault finding & diagnostics
Maintain a range of plant equipment, including:
Conveyors, crushers, furnaces, mills & mobile plant
Fault finding on motors, inverters, and Siemens PLC-based control systems
Electrical work on single-phase, three-phase and 24VDC systems
Distribution board inspections & panel improvements
Maintenance on low-voltage infrastructure systems
Basic welding and fabrication when required
Contribute to site improvement projects
Opportunity to develop further in electrical control, PLC automation, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems
Recognised mechanical, electrical or engineering qualification
~ NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics (or equivalent)
