About the Position
We have an opportunity for 2 Residential Social Care Workers (RSCW) to join our Adult Residential Care team in Hazel Grove. Hours – 37.5 hours per week (working 5 shifts each week over a 7‑day rota; candidates must have the flexibility of working any day of the week – including weekends). Starting Salary £24,700.00 per year (£12.67 per hour) with biennial increments. Salary Enhancement – Sleep in payment of £100.80 per sleep and a 25% uplift on the hourly rate for weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
* Provide support for individuals with physical, clinical, health, emotional and social needs, promoting independence.
* Create a caring, safe, secure, and accepting environment that meets residents’ physical, health, social needs and rights.
* Deliver clinical support such as ventilation, tracheostomy care, gastrointestinal tract support and PEG feeding.
* Administer medication, move and handle residents, and provide personal care.
* Follow hospital care plans and complete and update required documentation.
* Assist with assessments of need and formulation of plans considering residents’ wishes, feelings and best interests.
* Carry out direct work designed to meet agreed care plans, enabling residents to reach their full potential.
* Attend meetings, supervisions/appraisals, training and annual residents’ reviews.
* Conduct community activities with residents.
* Maintain accurate records, complete written reports for planning meetings and statutory reviews.
* Perform domestic duties, including cooking and cleaning, in compliance with health and safety policies.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in an adult residential setting.
* Ability to work unsociable hours, including weekends.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility to respond to the needs of the service and residents.
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).
