About the role-
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with Specialist SEN Teachers to support learners with a wide range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including ASD, ADHD, complex physical needs, and behavioural challenges. Your role will be central to creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where pupils can develop confidence, independence, and key life skills.
You will support small class groups of approximately 6–8 pupils, as well as provide dedicated 1:1 support for learners aged 3–19. This may include assisting with personalised learning programmes, implementing behaviour support strategies, and helping pupils engage with activities that promote emotional regulation, communication, and academic progress.

What we need from you-
- No previous experience working as a learning support assistant is required. (Although experience working with children with additional learning needs is preferable).
- We are looking for individuals who have a positive attitude and a genuine passion in working with learners with ALN.
- Being adaptable in high-pressure environments, whilst maintaining compassionate and calm is key.
- Child and Adult Enhanced DBS on the Update service (we can help you with this!).
- Education Workforce registration (EWC).
- Two references available upon request.
- Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
