Are you looking for an exciting role as a Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist in Respiratory Medicine?

We're seeking a proactive role model with a broad skill set who thrives in acute inpatient settings, has experience managing long-term respiratory conditions and acutely unwell patients, with evidence of leadership.

You'll work alongside established Band 7's within the Medical Inpatient team at NUH's City Campus, leading the Physiotherapy service across the Respiratory Assessment Unit and Respiratory wards. You'll offer direct patient care, service development and support and training for other team members and students.

This post will allow a physiotherapist with a keen interest in inpatient care to expand both their clinical skills and leadership of a busy and responsive service, with a focus on promoting excellent care to support patient outcomes.

We're a friendly, welcoming team working across 17 medical wards at City Hospital, with an emphasis on personal development and positive staff experience. We work within the multidisciplinary specialities of Renal, Haematology, Infectious Diseases, Oncology and Palliative Care so experience in these areas and neurological rehab is desirable. The successful candidate will work flexibly across these areas as required.

The role provides a high standard of evidence-based physiotherapy input to patients on the respiratory pathway at NUH. This is a developing area with wide scope for service development opportunities.

In addition to leading the day-to-day management of patient-facing work, you will engage in and promote a supportive teaching environment for team members, undertake annual appraisals and manage health and wellbeing.

You will contribute to the education and training of Band 6, Band 5, students, preceptees and therapy assistant staff, including upskilling new staff for the weekend and respiratory rosters when required.

The role includes participation in the weekend and out of hours respiratory service at City Campus of NUH which incorporates Respiratory Medicine, Cystic Fibrosis Unit, Cardiothoracic surgery, General Surgery and Critical Care.

You will work alongside the wider inpatient team leads to support the management, development and delivery of this out of hours service.

You will model and promote NUH's values and behaviours in all aspects of the role.

Please refer to the job description and person specification for full details.
