Hours: 37hrs Full Time

We&re looking for a creative communicator to join our busy team. This role is your chance to make a real difference$ûworking closely with key directorates to understand their priorities and bring their stories to life.
You&ll be at the heart of our communications and marketing efforts, helping to shape the council&s voice and showcase our ambitious Capital Programme, which is transforming Neath Port Talbot through major infrastructure and regeneration projects.
What Youll Be Doing
1. Craft and deliver strategic communications plans that align with corporate goals
2. Collaborate with project teams to create compelling, audience-focused messaging
3. Build strong media relationships and manage proactive coverage
4. Produce engaging content across channels$ûpress releases, social media, web, and more
5. Use analytics to measure success and optimise digital campaigns
6. Support events, consultations, and public meetings
7. Champion brand consistency and uphold corporate guidelines
8. Step in to cover the media desk when needed
What We are Looking For
9. A creative, highly motivated person with a strategic mindset
10. Proven experience in communications, marketing, or PR
11. Exceptional writing, editing, and digital content skills
12. Ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders with ease
13. A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
