Isle of Sheppey
An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join the team at Galliford Try.
About the role
Ideally you will be based in or around the Isle of Sheppey and will travel to sites across the area. Time on site, site visits and travel to and from site are estimated to form around 80% of the working week.
You Will
* Undertake specific security vetting training by GT Vetting Security Department as required.
* Administer, manage, control and monitor BPSS, SC and EL1 MOJ security clearances.
* Provide help and guidance in regard to security vetting for GT employees and supply chain.
* Undertake special briefings with individuals on behalf of those who have restrictions associated with their SC clearance.
* Control and maintain Security Clearance Log for the project.
* Follow up aftercare and renewals with individuals on the project who have security clearance.
* Liaise with MOJ for auditing, leavers, change of circumstances and day‑to‑day administration.
* Act as main point of contact for GT, supply chain and MOJ, and ensure project vetting registers are maintained within central database.
* Ensure that MOJ and project specific governance is complied with, including maintenance of security registers and plans, holding Security Site Inductions and liaising with MOJ’s Security Working Group.
* Act as the designated on‑call Incident Control Officer for the project and manage breaches in line with MOJ’s procedures.
* Archive/ destroy records – follow GDPR guidelines on vetting paperwork and MOJ’s data destruction and retention policy.
* Provide back‑up support to other projects when required.
About you
* Previous experience in an administrative role, essential.
* Previous experience working with sensitive personal data, desirable.
* Currently hold or are willing to attain SC security clearance (requires minimum 5 years UK residency).
* Previous MOJ project experience, desirable.
