Job Description: BEMS Commissioning Engineer (North)

We're seeking an ambitious and collaborative professional to join our growing Northern division.
What You'll Need
* Proven experience in BEMS commissioning and troubleshooting within commercial and industrial environments
* Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, and control strategies
* Experience with Trend, Schneider, and Sigma systems (preferred)
* Ability to configure and programme BEMS components, including sensors, controllers, and software interfaces
* Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, and Ethernet/IP
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Highly organised with a keen eye for detail in project delivery
* A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
* Knowledge of energy efficiency practices, sustainability standards, and UK regulations (advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence
What You'll Be Doing
* Delivering a best-in-class service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
* Conducting site inspections and building system assessments (HVAC, lighting, and controls) to identify opportunities for BEMS integration and optimisation
* Working closely with project managers and clients to define project scope and requirements
* Developing and implementing commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules in line with industry standards
* Configuring and programming BEMS hardware and software for seamless system integration
* Performing functional testing to ensure systems operate correctly and efficiently
* Diagnosing and resolving technical issues during commissioning and post-installation
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise system performance
* Providing training and technical support to clients and end users
* Producing comprehensive documentation, including reports, manuals, and as-built drawings
* Keeping up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices
* Supporting continuous improvement and development of BEMS capabilities
