About the Role
As a key member of our Civil Engineering Team, you’ll support the Lead Engineer in delivering our Business Plan. Your contributions will be vital in developing strategies for maintaining aging assets and constructing new civil projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with and managing a large consultancy and contractor resource.
* Producing specifications and project scoping documents.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, statutory, corporate, and site policies.
* Managing internal and external stakeholders, including sub-contractors, suppliers, and designers.
* Overseeing contract management, including negotiating and tendering contracts.
* Collaborating with team members and supporting day-to-day business activities.
We’re looking for a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to tackle a varied workload!
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Technical competence in reviewing designs, calculation packs, and methodologies to British Standards and Eurocodes.
* Previous design experience as a consultant or design manager in the construction industry.
* Exceptional communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
* A relevant university degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
