A Little More About Your Role
* Undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications.
* Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions.
* Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions.
* Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations.
* Visit sites to carry out inspections during the construction phase and assess existing structures.
* Report directly to the lead structural engineer for the projects you are involved with and engage with multidisciplinary design teams, external consultants and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
* A structural engineering degree and hold Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE).
* A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes.
* A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software.
* An interest in low carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in your design solutions.
* A willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced members of the team.
* Successful applicants will be required to be security‑cleared prior to appointment.
