About
EduTalent Group are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science to join a highly successful and thriving Science department at a well established grammar school. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with the opportunity to specialise depending on experience.
The Science department is exceptionally well resourced, with laboratories across the main campus, including a specialist Chemistry laboratory. The department is supported by a team of experienced technicians, ensuring strong practical delivery and high quality learning experiences.
At Key Stage 3, students follow an adapted and extended Activate Science curriculum. At GCSE, students study AQA Separate Sciences, with Biology, Chemistry and Physics taught as distinct subjects from Year 10. At A Level, Biology follows the OCR specification and is a popular and growing subject within the Sixth Form.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Science education and committed to delivering high quality teaching that inspires curiosity, supports progress, and drives strong academic outcomes.
Requirements
• Good honours degree in a Science related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or closely related discipline)
• PGCE or equivalent Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Ability to teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching in at least one Science specialism
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science education
• Ability to deliver engaging and well structured lessons that support student progress
• High expectations for behaviour, effort and academic achievement
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to contribute positively to departmental planning and curriculum development
• Applications welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers
