The role – what is it we would like you to do?
We are seeking a cost consultant / senior cost consultant to join our Leeds office. You will support project leaders in delivering high-quality services, achieving successful client outcomes, sharing knowledge, and reinforcing our reputation through projects such as commercial new builds, residential, towers, and government frameworks.
Your core duties will involve:
* Providing accurate cost advice and reporting
* Delivering projects and assignments
* Leading in setting objectives and working proactively
* Communicating effectively for project success
* Undertaking commercial management with limited supervision
* Ensuring timely and accurate work outputs
* Supporting cost management of projects
* Representing the company professionally and building client relationships
What skills and attributes are we looking for?
* BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
* MRICS membership
* Experience in private commercial sectors such as offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit out, refurbishments
* Proficiency in CostX or similar software
* Sustainability and data skills, e.g., carbon assessment, Power BI
* Pre- and post-contract experience
* Strong technical writing and communication skills
* Organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, and commercially aware
* Team player with a positive attitude, respectful, flexible, and personable
