Key Responsibilities: * Support the Team Manager in delivering key strategic aims and driving continuous improvement within the service. * Contribute to the management of the team, including allocation of workloads, supervision, and oversight of case management. * Ensure high standards of practice across safeguarding, Care Act processes, and annual reviews/reassessments. * Provide professional advice, guidance, and case supervision to staff, modelling reflective, evidence-informed practice. * Lead on strength-based models of practice, maximising use of individual and community resources before council services. * Act as Safeguarding Adult Manager (SAM) for safeguarding cases, providing professional leadership on safeguarding matters. * Oversee compliance with the Quality Assurance Framework and performance processes. * Support the development of new initiatives and contribute to working groups, training, and multi-agency forums. * Manage and supervise staff, ensuring effective development, appraisal, and performance management. * Carry a small caseload of complex cases to maintain professional practice. Essential Requirements: * SWE registered Social Worker with CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent qualification. * Qualified Best Interest Assessor. * Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing staff of varied professional backgrounds. * Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and safeguarding procedures. * Ability to work collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, and third-sector partners. * Right to work in the UK.
