Responsibilities
* Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* Supervise staff and ensure all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
* Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
* Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
* Maintain and develop relationships with residents' loved ones.
* Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth and act as a role model for others and an ambassador for the service.
* Be professional, polite, and reasonable at all times.
Qualifications
* Vocational qualification Level 3 Health and Social Care.
* Level 3 Medication Management.
* Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
* Maintain care plans/care records in accordance with the service's policy and audit care records to ensure compliance.
* Communication skills to build rapport with residents and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
* Problem-solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report safeguarding concerns.
* Ability to assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan (bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, using the bathroom).
* Supervise staff providing residents with support/assistance as they accomplish daily tasks, including the activities above.
* Dispense medication following the service's policies and procedures.
Experience
* Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
