Job Description
As a Pathology Support Worker in the Pathology Department, you will support the clinical laboratory service as part of a team of Biomedical Scientists and support workers. You will perform work activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, follow a competency training programme, and perform pre‑analytical preparation and routine departmental tests using complex laboratory equipment.
Person Specification
* Qualifications (Essential) GCSE Grades A-C to include Mathematics and English and/or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
* Experience (Desirable) Previous laboratory experience.
* Skills (Essential) Ability to communicate effectively; hand‑eye coordination and accuracy.
* Skills (Desirable) Computer keyboard skills.
Working Pattern & Contract
Fixed‑term contract, 12 months, full‑time. Band 2, salary £25,272 per annum.
