Our client in the Financial Services world is currently on an ambitious and exciting growth strategy which has led to a significant transformation which includes hiring an exceptional IT & Projects Finance Analyst / Business Partner to join the team asap, based out of their Surrey/Sussex offices (with hybrid working). As a IT & Projects Finance Analyst / Business Partner you will provide insight and challenge to ensure business leaders develop, agree and deliver on these strategically aligned and financially disciplined plans.


FP&A plays a key business advisory role influencing and supporting decision making at a senior level, highlighting key financial issues and risks to be considered. FP&A’s responsibilities are the financial support for the strategic plan, running future financial projections, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and control of the P&L, capital adequacy management, scenario analysis, risk management support, project reporting and investment appraisal.


You will be responsible for supporting the FP&A team in the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities across the business. You will work closely with senior finance professionals to ensure accurate financial data is provided to support decision-making, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance reviews. This role will focus on driving financial insights and contributing to the financial strategy for the organisation.


* Financial Planning & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Analyse financial performance, highlight trends, variances, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
* Financial Reporting & Dashboards: Develop custom financial reports and dashboards in MS Power Apps or integrate with other reporting tools to enhance visualisation of financial data. Provide real-time insights into financial performance for management and key stakeholders, including metrics support and KPI management.
* Finance Business Partnering and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with operational and senior business teams to provide financial insights and advice, ensuring alignment between finance and business strategies. Collaborate with non-financial stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver financial insights that support strategic objectives. Present financial data and results in a clear, concise manner to diverse audiences. Supporting production of project business cases.
* Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive financial tasks (e.g., data entry, reporting) using appropriate tools to drive efficiency within the FP&A function.
* Data Analysis & Modelling: Conduct financial data analysis to support decision-making. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections. Use advanced Excel functions, MS Power Apps, and coding to enhance the functionality of models.
* Collaboration with IT & Business Teams: Work closely with the IT department and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology integration and process optimisation across the finance function.
* Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis on key business initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
* Systems Integration & Improvement: Support the ongoing improvement of financial systems and tools, ensuring they align with business requirements and best practices. Assist in the integration of MS Power Apps with existing financial software or data sources to streamline reporting and analysis.
* Training & Support: Provide training to team members on the use of MS Power Apps, automated reporting tools, and coding practices. Offer support in troubleshooting and improving financial applications.


To be considered, the ideal candidate will possess:-


* An ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
* FP&A Expertise: Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting with a solid understanding of financial metrics and business drivers, preferably within a financial services company or a similar high-performance environment.
* Business Partnering skills: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with non-financial stakeholders and support business decisions through financial analysis and advice.
* Strong Analytical Ability: Expertise in synthesising complex, unstructured data into actionable insights and making recommendations to senior management.
* Advanced Excel Skills: Expertise in using Excel for financial modelling, reporting, and analysis.
* Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Power Apps and coding methodologies for automating processes, performing data analysis, and reporting.
* Attention to Detail: Strong ability to perform detailed data checks, ensuring high levels of accuracy in financial reports and analyses.
