We are seeking analytically-minded recent graduates to join our teams providing data and intelligence on the global shipping industry. We currently have a range of opportunities across analytical and business development roles, offering the ability to develop deep expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced industry that sits at the heart of the world economy.
What you’ll be doing:
We have opportunities across several areas of our business, including research, valuations and client management roles:
Shipping & Energy Intelligence Analyst:
* Monitoring developments in commodities markets and global trade
* Tracking macroeconomic, geopolitical and decarbonisation trends shaping shipping markets
* Analysing data from a wide range of sources to generate insights
* Producing forecasts that inform Clarksons Research’s view on global shipping
* Creating regular intelligence reports and topical analysis
* Collaborating closely with analysts across our global network and supporting clients
Valuations Analyst:
* Analysing market data, trends and intelligence across the various shipping markets
* Managing all aspects of the vessel valuation process from client enquiry to execution
* Establishing and building client relationships
* Liaising closely with analysts and brokers across our global network
Business Development & Account Management:
* Addressing leads and supporting sales operations
* Demonstrating our digital product range to prospective clients and gathering feedback
* Progressing to take ownership of a sales region
* Supporting business development and account management teams with bespoke client requests, renewals, and ad hoc business development initiatives
You’ll need to have:
* A degree in an analytical subject (we’re open-minded)
* Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills including basic data handling
* The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong motivation and a proactive approach

* A strong interest in world affairs, the global economy and international industries
* Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn (no prior shipping experience needed)
