Academics in Canterbury are currently working with a "Good" secondary school in Folkestone who are seeking a committed and dedicated Teacher of MFL (French. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, innovative and successful department teaching Modern Foreign Languages - French and Spanish - KS3 through to GCSE level and perhaps A-Level too.

Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective language lessons to students in accordance with the curriculum.
Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity in language acquisition.
Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and engaging for students.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, achievement, and any concerns that may arise.
Actively participate in departmental and staff meetings, as well as professional development opportunities, to continue to refine teaching practices and stay up-to-date with educational developments. Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
Strong subject knowledge in at least one modern foreign language, with the ability to teach French and/or Spanish up to Key Stage 4.
A genuine passion for foreign languages and the ability to inspire this passion in students.
Experience in delivering high-quality language lessons, utilizing innovative teaching and learning strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
