Law & Policing Lecturer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Contract: Flexible / Ad Hoc (with potential for permanent opportunities)

The Role
You will support learners across Law and Policing programmes, helping them develop knowledge of the legal system and careers within the justice sector.
* Deliver engaging lessons across Law and/or Policing courses (A Level / Access / vocational programmes)
* Teach topics such as criminal law, legal systems, policing practices, and justice procedures
* Support learners with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation
* Link theory to real‑world legal and policing contexts
* Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds.
Essential
* Experience teaching Law, Policing, or related subjects (e.g., Criminology)
* Strong subject knowledge
* Ability to support academic learners
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A flexible and reliable approach
Desirable
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, DET)
* Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form
* Industry experience in legal practice, policing, or criminal justice
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
