About the Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager with experience in Brewing, Distilling, Food & Beverage Production or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, including the installation of hygienic pipework. A background in Process, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is expected.
Key Responsibilities
 * Manage the entire project from initial handover through design, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning and customer acceptance.
 * Deliver regular weekly update reports to the client to show progress of their project.
 * Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for site work.
 * Liaise with the client, project team members and senior management to meet both customer and company expectations.
 * Understand engineering specifications and technical documentation, including scope of work and measurable performance requirements.
 * Manage and control budgets to ensure adherence to allocated allowances, employing cost management techniques.
 * Oversee project procurement and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
 * Manage engineering contractors and ensure works are planned specific to the site.
 * Occasionally undertake site management at the appropriate time in the project.
Experience Required
 * Role‑related experience and training through a time‑served apprenticeship, HND or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
 * Experience managing projects in industries such as Brewing, Distilling, Food & Beverage Production or Pharmaceuticals, including the installation of pipework to a hygienic standard.
 * Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering specifications and technical documentation while extracting necessary information from specifications and technical documentation.
 * Commercial acumen, planning and budgeting experience.
 * Demonstrable experience of Health & Safety legislation.
 * Good understanding of Construction, Design, and Management (CDM) regulations.
 * Full UK Driving Licence.
 * Lives within a commutable distance from the SSV office in Leeds.
