Job Description
The primary responsibilities of the Medical Services Lead are to triage and respond to inquiries from healthcare providers and external stakeholders, and to manage promotional review processes ensuring high standards in medical communications.
Primary Responsibilities
Medical Review
* Manage processes related to promotional material review and approval, including review flows, priorities, outsourcing, metrics, SOPs, and regional initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and laws governing promotional materials.
* Complete medical reviews accurately and timely, meeting company policies and country regulations before public release.
* Provide compliance leadership and training to staff.
Medical Information
* Respond to or triage unsolicited on-label and off-label inquiries from healthcare providers and stakeholders.
* Ensure responses are professional and high-quality.
* Standardize answers for FAQs in collaboration with Medical Advisors and Medical Science Liaisons.
* Research and compile literature-based responses to support clinical understanding.
* Report adverse events and product quality complaints appropriately.
DPOC Process Management
* Manage receipt, classification, and routing of product inquiries.
* Maintain the DPOC database accurately.
* Generate and report monthly DPOC performance metrics.
* Identify process gaps and implement solutions promptly.
* Support and train staff in DPOC/medical information management.
Education / Certificates
* GPhC registered pharmacist or GMC registered doctor
* UK Final Medical Signatory
Competencies and Experience
* At least 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
* Deep understanding of the ABPI code
* Ability to interpret and apply SOPs and regulations related to promotional review, MIR, DPOC
* Risk identification and escalation skills
* System management capabilities
* Regular KPI analysis
* Ability to collaborate with commercial and medical partners to streamline approval processes
